Bright Futures 'Unpaid Internship' Scholarship awards students with need-based
scholarships ranging from $250-$1,250 to help offset expenses incurred during
unpaid internships. All registered University of Maryland, College Park
undergraduate students returning to campus for the spring 2016 semester, who
have an internship for fall 2015, are eligible to apply. Graduating seniors
(December 2015) are not eligible.

Join the Global Entrepreneurship Semester in Seoul, Tel Aviv,
or Istanbul! Spend your Spring 2016 semester
abroad taking classes at our partner universities and interning with local
startup companies.
The Global Entrepreneurship Semester (GES) is designed to
give students the opportunity to experience dynamic entrepreneurial cultures
and environments around the world. This full-year program combines one semester
of on-campus instruction and preparation with one semester of coursework and
experiential learning abroad, including a structured internship with a local
startup.
The program allows you to earn a full semester’s worth of
academic credit, 12 to 18 credits. Significant scholarships are available to
reduce the costs of these programs to the near equivalent of your on-campus
University of Maryland cost of attendance.

White House Internship: Spring 2016 Application Now Open
The application for the Spring 2016 White House Internship Program is now open. The White House Internship Program provides a unique opportunity to
gain valuable professional experience and build leadership skills. This
hands-on program is designed to mentor and cultivate today’s young
leaders, strengthen their understanding of the Executive Office and
prepare them for future public service opportunities. The White House Internship Program’s mission is to make the “People’s
House” accessible to future leaders from around the nation. The application deadline for the Spring 2016 program is September 13, 2015.

CCJS 230 and CCJS 331 Teaching Assistant Position Open for Fall 2015
Professor White currently has an opening for a Fall 2015 undergraduate teaching assistant for CCJS 230 - Criminal Law in Action and CCJS 331 - Contemporary Legal Policy Issues. Undergraduate teaching assistants must meet the following requirements:
- A cumulative GPA of a 3.20 or higher
- A grade of A- or higher earned in the class you are TAing (either CCJS 230 or 331)
- A minimum of 56 cumulative credits earned
- Ability to attend class the class you are TAing
All interested students should contact Professor White directly at crobertw@umd.edu ASAP. Please note, CCJS 386 (teaching assistant credit) will not fulfill the CCJS Course of Choice degree requirement.
