Post grad opportunity:Jewish Service Corps

Avodah Jewish Service Corps, a year-long program for recent college grads that builds the foundations for careers and creates an active Jewish community and a lifelong activism in social and economic justice movements, are now accepting applications with a deadline of February 20th. They are seeking individuals 21-26 with a strong interest in anti-poverty work and a desire to learn in an inclusive Jewish framework.

Corps Members build real world expertise through work placements with Avodah’s partner organizations in Chicago, New Orleans, New York and Washington, D.C. They contribute to our partners’ work on crucial justice issues such as immigration, hunger, education, public health, and domestic violence while developing activist chops and Jewish social justice insights through Avodah’s trusted, innovative curriculum. During the year, Corps Members live and learn in the dynamic Avodah community.

The program provides a monthly living stipend, travel allowance, health insurance, and subsidized housing, in addition to a year of professional and leadership development. After the year, participants will access activism, professional development, and Jewish opportunities for life through the Avodah alumni community.

Winter break is the perfect time to submit an application. Students can reach out to Lena Kesden (lkesden@avodah.netdirectly or visit the AJSC website
