Mintz Group Entry-Level Investigator Position 
Locations: Washington D.C., NYC, San Francisco, 

The Mintz Group is seeking inquisitive, detailed-oriented and highly motivated investigators for all of its offices globally. As an investigator, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth research on companies and individuals throughout the world to help clients minimize their legal, regulatory and reputational risks. You will join a team of smart, curious and passionate investigators who work on a variety of cases, from vetting business executives to uncovering fraud.

What the Role is:

· Conduct due-diligence research on the backgrounds of people and companies around the world to assist clients in hiring and investment decisions

· Analyze and summarize findings into comprehensive written reports for clients

· Brief case managers and clients on findings in a clear and professional manner

· Possibly conduct other types of investigations, such as background research to support litigators and compliance professionals


What You Need:

· 1-3 years prior work/internship experience in the following areas a plus:

o Research

o Journalism

o Litigation Support

· Undergraduate degree from an accredited university; Advanced degree a plus

· Ability to analyze, summarize and communicate large amounts of information in a concise manner

· Strong writing and research skills and excellent attention to detail

· Ability to prioritize casework and assignments while meeting strict, and often overlapping, deadlines

· A sophisticated knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Word and Excel) is necessary

· English fluency and strong writing skills in English mandatory

· Portuguese fluency/proficiency strongly preferred


Desired Skills:

· Experience with public records databases and Internet sources is desirable, but not required
