The Prince George’s County Police Department’s
District III Robbery Suppression Team is accepting applications for police
interns. Interns will work closely with a team of detectives assigned to investigate
approximately 650 robberies and 150 carjacking per year. Interns will receive 6 credits after successful completion of this 240 hour
internship this Fall 2012 semester.

Victims / Witnesses / Grand Jury Proceedings

Preparation of
Police Reports / Preparation of Cases for Indictment
Requirements
o
Interns will need their own transportation to an
office located at 7600 Barlowe
Road Landover, MD
20785
o
Interns will be required to work evening shift hours. These hours are between 4 PM and 2AM (hours
and days are flexible)
o
Interns will assist in the investigation of violent
crimes and must understand that they may see disturbing scenes
o
Court appearances are not anticipated but may be
required in extreme cases
o
Interns must be Criminal Justice Majors, juniors or
seniors, with at least a 2.5 GPA
o
Interns will be required to pass a national criminal
records check
o
Interns must submit a one page resume and unofficial
transcript
o
Interns must submit a letter of recommendation from
one university professor (not required by time of interview)
