240 Hour Internship Opportunity for the Spring 2013 Semester
The Prince George’s County
Police Department’s Special Enforcement Division is accepting applications for
police interns. Interns will work closely with detectives assigned to investigate
robberies, violent repeat offenders, motor vehicle theft rings, or homicides. Interns will receive 6 credits after
successful completion of this internship.

Operations / Surveillance Tactics
Requirements
o
Interns will need their own transportation to an
office located at 7600 Barlowe Road Landover, MD 20785 or 5000 Rhode Island
Avenue Hyattsville, MD 20785
o
Interns will be required to work evening shift hours. These hours are between 4 PM and 2AM (hours
and days are flexible)
o
Interns will assist in the investigation of violent
crimes and must understand that they may see disturbing scenes
o
Court appearances are not anticipated but may be
required in extreme cases
o
Interns must be Criminal Justice Majors, juniors or
seniors, with at least a 2.5 GPA
o
Interns will be required to pass a national criminal
records check
o
Interns must submit a one page resume and unofficial
transcript
o
Interns must submit a letter of recommendation from
one university professor (required by time of interview)
