HHS OIG consist of six component offices. The Office of Investigations (OI) is responsible for conducting and coordinating investigative activities related to fraud, waste and abuse in over 300 HHS programs. OI investigates Medicate and Medicaid fraud, child support enforcement matters, potential illegal activities, and mismanagement of applications, grantees, contractors, or HHS employees in the performance of official duties. Investigations often result in criminal, civil, or administrative action.
Below is a flyer about the Student Volunteer Internship Program. Students must meet the following requirements to apply:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Student enrolled at UMCP for the Fall 2014 semester
- At least 18 years of age
- A minimum GPA of a 3.0
- Agree to a background check
- Available to work at least 10 hours per week with a minimum of 2 hours per day
- Available to work all Fall semester (15 weeks)
- A minimum of 56 cumulative credits
- Completion of CCJS 300 is preferred
