December 2016 Graduates: Purchasing Graduation Regalia

It’s time to buy your graduation regalia!  The University Book Center is the official supplier of commencement regalia for the university. Students can purchase their graduation regalia and additional accessories, such as diploma frames, announcements, and class rings from the University Book Center during the Grad Fair today, October 12 from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM.  Regalia will be available for purchase beginning today.  Students are encouraged to obtain their regalia sooner rather than later; fewer sizes will be available as we get closer to graduation.

Undergraduate and Master's Degree Students:
Undergraduate and master's degree students must purchase their regalia from the University Book Center. The undergraduate package cost $138.98 and the master's degree package cost $149.98. The following items are required and sold as a package:

• Cap
• Gown
• Departmental hood (Bachelor of Arts hood has a white velvet – CCJS is a BA degree)
• Stole of gratitude
• Tassel with official medallion

Doctoral Students:
Doctoral students may rent or buy their regalia. If you choose to rent your regalia, it must be picked up from the book center (shipping is not available). The cost to rent regalia is $220.98 and the cost to purchase regalia is $1002.98.

Notes:
Regalia cannot be purchased online.  Please email mfoster5@umd.edu if you live out of state and need regalia shipped to you. Items may be shipped for an additional $16.95. If you have questions, please contact the University Book Center at (301) 314-9231.
