The Jim Brochin 2018-2019 Senatorial Scholarship application period is open until March 30, 2018.
Who may apply: Current high school seniors, full-time or part-time, degree-seeking undergraduate and graduate students. Students attending a private career school may also apply. Senatorial Scholarships may only be awarded to students applying for admission to an institution of higher learning within the State of Maryland, unless unique major status is approved for a non-Maryland school by the Maryland Higher Education Commission.
How to apply: Complete and file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and then contact your State Senator. Your State Senator can be obtained by visiting the Maryland State Archive’s website. If your residency is in my district, the 42nd legislative district, please fill out this application (PDF).
Award Information: Senatorial Scholarships are awarded for four years or until the completion of your degree, whichever comes first. Once awarded a Senatorial Scholarship, it will be automatically renewed each year as long you take a minimum of six credit hours a semester. If you have already received a Senatorial Scholarship, you do not need to complete another application.
