Are you interested in pursing a doctoral degree in the behavioral and social sciences?
Are you looking for a summer program that will give you research experience?
Do you want to make a difference by bringing your unique background and interests into social science research?
The University of Maryland, College Park's BSOS Summer Research Initiative (SRI) is a program that helps prepare undergraduate students for graduate school and is a part of our longstanding commitment to increasing the number of underrepresented minorities who pursue graduate degrees in the social and behavioral sciences.
The SRI is especially interested in a broad spectrum of students including males, African Americans, Latino/Hispanics, American Indian/Alaskan Natives, Native Hawaiians or other Pacific Islanders, as well as students with research interests related to diverse communities.
The SRI is an 8 week summer program (June 1 – July 24) that offers students a research experience that will enhance their basic research knowledge and skills and develop students’ knowledge of graduate school and the application process. If this is of interest to you, we encourage all students to apply.
