Juvenile Court Services is seeking a Juvenile Court Services Aide. The incumbent works in the Juvenile Court Services Office (JCS) under the direction and supervision of the Services Coordinator for the Juvenile Court and his/her designee. The Juvenile Court Services Aide conducts various clerical and administrative support assignments, which support the effective and efficient operation of the JCS Office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducts clerical duties for the Juvenile Court Services Office including typing, filing copying, disseminating materials to the Juvenile Court and other duties as assigned by the Services Coordinator for the Juvenile Court and his or her designee.

  • Greets and provides general information about the Juvenile Court Services Office to court personnel and the public via telephone and in person.

  • Screens and disseminates all Juvenile Court Services mail.

  • Composes, reviews, and revises written communication from the Juvenile Court Services Office sent via mail, fax and/or email as directed.

  • Orders and maintains all Juvenile Court Services (JCS) office supplies as directed by the Coordinator and sees to the working order of all office equipment, placing repair orders as needed.

  • Develop, input, and maintain Juvenile Court Services database tracking system.

  • Develops and provides oversight of Juvenile Court Services Office volunteer program including monitoring task assignments.

  • Files, consolidates, and purges Juvenile Court Services documentation, reports, mailings, and research materials.

  • Maintains and arranges the Service Coordinator’s appointment calendar.

  • Completes other tasks and assignments as directed by the Services Coordinator for the Juvenile Court and his or her designee.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Graduation from an accredited university or college with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration and/or any human services disciplines. A minimum of three-year clerical experience required, with specific training in various computer-based data tracking systems (i.e. EXCEL, ACCESS), typing at least 40 wpm, ability to edit complex documents utilizing word processing programs. Familiarity with the Juvenile Court Structure desirable. One year of practical work experience, college and/or technical training can be substituted to meet the minimum requirements.
