SECU recently announced our partnership with
the University System of Maryland Foundation (USMF) to establish a scholarship
program for Maryland community college graduates transferring to four year
Maryland universities. USMF will manage and administer SECU’s $50,000 gift as
ten individual $5,000 scholarships to students transitioning from one of the
state’s two-year community colleges to any of USM’s 12 institutions and two
regional higher educational centers for the fall 2013 semester.

college students applying for admission to one of the
University System of Maryland’s undergraduate-degree granting institutions, and who have earned,
or anticipate earning, an associate’s degree prior to transferring to the USM institution.
