Intern for a Day connects undergraduate students with host
sites for a one day internship/shadowing experiences. This semester, we have 150 hosts from a wide
variety of fields and industries. The
goal of Intern for a Day is to help students clarify career interests and
explore the world of work. The majority of Intern for a Day hosts are open to
ALL majors, but here are some shadowing experiences that may be of particular
interest to CCJS students:
LEGAL & LAW ENFORCEMENT
- DISH Network (in-house attorney)
- FDA/Center for Veterinary Medicine/Division of Compliance
- Montgomery County Police Department
- National Association of Attorneys General
- Prince George’s County Police Department
- The Law Office of Thomas J. Maronick Jr. LLC
FEDERAL
- US Department of Veterans Affairs
- US Department of Justice
- US Department of State

In order to be considered for Intern for a Day, each student
must attend a short, 30-minute orientation session in the University Career
Center & The President’s Promise:
