1. Peace Corps Application Workshop
Date: Wednesday, November 16, 2016 – 4:30pm-5:30pm
Location: University Career Center, 3rd floor of South Hornbake Library
Make your application stand out from the rest! Attend this workshop to learn how to match your skills to the program openings, tailor your resume for program qualifications and strengthen your application. You will have your questions answered and gain valuable tips to guide you through your Peace Corps application.

2. “Just Mercy” and the Law: A Panel Discussion
Date: Wednesday, November 16, 2016 – 6:30pm-8:30pm
Location: Tawes 0320
Pre-Law Advising and Undergraduate Studies are hosting a panel discussion on Bryan Stevenson's best-selling novel, Just Mercy. Professors from the University of Maryland and University of Baltimore Schools of Law will serve as panelists, along with a member of our Journalism faculty here at College Park. Pizza will be provided.

5. Connect NOW Fall 2016 Meet-Up Series: Diversity & Inclusion Internship Opportunities and More

Location: University Career Center, 3rd floor of South Hornbake Library
The Connect NOW Meet-Up Series is designed to facilitate relationships between employers and targeted student populations for career and internship opportunities.
Come meet organization representatives or alumni to share information and opportunities. Learn what they seek in top talent, tips for a successful interview and how to transition and advance. Remember it is not too early (nor too late) to learn about the inside information to be a successful, sought after, diverse and talented UMD Terp. Hear about why diversity and inclusion is essential to an organization’s mission, and how to take advantage of internship opportunities and employment programs.
