The application for the Summer 2022 FBI Honor's Internship is now open and will remain open until Sunday, October 17, 2021. Please visit FBI Jobs for more information and the application.
If you plan to apply, you will have to complete a School Certification Form. Ms. Giselle Denbow in the BSOS Deans Office will complete the form for BSOS majors. Please email the form to Ms. Denbow at gdenbow@umd.edu. You must contact Ms. Denbow on/before 4:00 PM Friday, October 15, 2021.Here are some notes and tips for your application:
- Students can apply their Freshman year and beyond as long as they will be enrolled in school full-time in Fall 2021. Seniors graduating May 2021 and not immediately attending graduate school in Fall 2021, will not qualify for the Summer 2021 internship
- Students must have a 3.0 GPA. (Freshman will have to provide SAT/ACT scores and high school transcripts)
- Students must be able to pass the FBI background - students must review the restrictions prior to applying. If students fail the FBI polygraph, they will not be eligible for future FBI positions (meaning do not try to beat the polygraph)
- Applicants must be U.S. Citizens (dual citizenship is fine). Unfortunately Legal Resident Aliens, Permanent Residents or students in the US on Student Visas are not eligible
- Applicants will be asked to select 3 offices where they would like to work. Headquarters has the most available positions and selecting headquarters can significantly increase a students ability to be placed
- Students should include everything on their resume, there is no limit on length!
- Include your high school and high school activities on the resume
- Don't just state your duties, write in detail about your duties (e.g. promotions, raises, employee of the month, work busier shifts, train others, resolved issue, work adopted their suggestion for something, increased profits, lowered loses, ran fun run and got more donations or runners than previously etc.)
- Show your leadership skills/positions (e.g. school organization, jobs, sports, church, volunteering etc.)
- Applicants should include: the school name, expected graduation date, major and minors, GPA, and if you’re on scholarship - towards the top of your resume
