If you are feeling this way, I encourage you to feel your feelings and take advantage of some of the resources we have available on campus. I'm including some of the resources available below, but also encourage you to reach out to friends, family, and trusted individuals.

The Counseling Center is a safe and inclusive space where counselors provide support to students from underrepresented populations. Recognizing that stigma about seeking counseling and unfamiliarity about the counseling process prevents some students from getting the help they need, the Counseling Service makes requesting time with a counselor easier to specific student populations.
Free unscheduled time with a counselor is available to students of color, LGBT students, international students, and veterans. Please note that students will be asked to complete several brief surveys prior to meeting with a counselor within an hour of arrival.
Drop-in hours for LGBT Students are named "Rainbow Walk-In Hours" and they are available to students Monday through Friday 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm at 1101 Shoemaker Building. Find more information here.
QUEER RECESS - Join us every Monday and Thursday from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm in the LGBTQ+ Equity Center (2218 Marie Mount Hall) for Queer Recess! Come enjoy crafts, games, and play!

Our office will be open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. Feel free to stop by during these times to check out a book from our library, pick up LGBTQ+ Equity Center swag, or just hang out! We will be closed between 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm on Mondays for our staff meeting.
