KPMG is currently seeking an Advisory Intern for our Federal Forensic practice in Consulting.

Responsibilities:

  • Support quantitative and qualitative analysis related to fraud, forensics, insider threat and supply chain risk-related client issues
  • Help perform analytical reviews and conduct research on both financial and nonfinancial data
  • Assist team with project plan steps, supporting working papers and client status reports
  • Collect information and data through effective client interviews, system queries and internal external research
  • Identify and communicate results and progress to team members
  • Maintain awareness of relevant marketplace issues and emerging industry regulations and guidelines and assist with development and implementation of new compliance protocols as new regulations emerge and laws change

Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing the following degrees/majors; Bachelors or Masters Degree in Criminal Justice, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Public Policy, Public Administration, Business or equivalent program
  • Must have a current/most recent GPA of 3.00 or above
  • General understanding of data analysis techniques (IDEA)
  • Strong technical aptitude, demonstrated quality service mindset, critical thinking and quantitative skills and ability to navigate MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
  • Excellent communication, time management and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high quality work
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Federal government security clearance within a reasonable period of time, which requires U.S. citizenship
  • Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client premises as needed, at times with relatively short notice
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
