Security Operations Center Monitors | UMPD

The Security Operations Center (SOC) is a 24/7 unit within the Support Services Bureau of the University of Maryland, Department of Public Safety. The SOC is tasked with monitoring the extensive security camera system currently consisting of over 500 cameras that are located both on the interior and exterior of campus buildings, as well as at various locations around the City of College Park.

  • Starting Salary for part-time monitors is $15.00 an hour
  • Starting Salary for full-time monitors is $40,000 a year
  • Evening shifts offer shift differential pay of an extra $1.00 an hour
  • Holiday shifts pay an extra $2.00 an hour incentive pay
  • Student and non-student positions available
  • Flexible hours that work around your schedule
  • Minimum requirement of 16 hours per week (allowed to work up to 40 hours per week if desired)
