The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police Department is responsible for enforcing Airports Authority regulations, county codes in three separate county jurisdictions and the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Police Department is a full-service police agency with traditional functions as well as security responsibilities that are unique to the airport environment.
MWAA Police Department is currently hiring for Airport Police Officer Trainee positions. As an Airport Police Officer Trainee, you will be required to perform the following tasks: patrol an assigned area, mediate disputes, respond to calls for service, conduct searches, document suspicious behavior, detain suspicious persons, investigate criminal activity, collect evidence, interview victims and witness, arresting suspects, process prisoners, and testifying in court in accordance with Police General Orders. Pay for this position starts at $30.41 per hour and there is a $7,500 signing bonus.
