ENTRY/DEVELOPMENTAL
Entry is with a high school diploma or GED and no experience. Duties

This position works in concert with legal defense counsel to investigate allegations of suspected violations of criminal statutes and possible defenses to those allegations. An investigative specialist, under the supervision of the assigned attorney, plans and conducts complete investigations of criminal cases as assigned. This is accomplished by interviews with witnesses, researching records, contacting various sources for the purpose of obtaining facts, signed statements, etc. An investigative specialist verifies and corroborates all information obtained, analyzes findings, and presents findings in comprehensive reports for use by attorneys. Investigations can require overnight or multi-day travel. An investigative specialist will perform other related duties as assigned.

Security and Counterintelligence is responsible for the protection of NSA/CSS information, people and facilities worldwide. In support of this mission, Counterintelligence (CI) Investigators conduct investigations of Agency employees and affiliates as mandated by national level and NSA policy in order to determine their eligibility for Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) access. These investigations are conducted in support of the comprehensive Personnel Security processing program, designed to ensure a trusted workforce. Description of Position: CI Investigators are required to successfully complete the NSA CI Investigator Training Program. Job Summary

Duties

The Office of the Clerk is seeking a highly qualified individual with excellent analytical and technical skills to serve as an ECF Case Administrator. The incumbent receives and processes new cases on appeal from the district court and administrative agencies and maintains the official record of case activity from opening to final disposition. The incumbent is also responsible for making summary entries on the docket and performing data quality control in the court's case management system. The incumbent may be trained to assist or back-up other positions within the office.

Responsibilities

The incumbent reviews notices/petitions for timeliness and initial jurisdictional defects; identifies cases which require expedited consideration and notifies the appropriate personnel; reviews pleadings to ensure compliance with the court's rules; identifies cases for consolidation; accurately enters information into the automated case management system; prepares procedural orders; monitors briefing and other deadlines; and responds to inquiries from chambers, court staff, counsel, and the public.
