The J. Edgar Hoover Foundation Leadership Scholarship
2019-2020 Academic Year
Multiple scholarships ($1,000-$1,350 each) will be awarded to high achieving CCJS rising juniors and seniors. Recipients will be chosen on the basis of demonstrated strength in CCJS coursework, merit, and leadership ability. Preference will be given to students who have an interest in and are eligible for (e.g. http://www.federallawenforcement.org/careers/) law enforcement careers.
Applicants for the J. Edgar Hoover Foundation Leadership Scholarship must meet the following criteria:
- Declared as a CCJS major
- Rising junior or senior standing for the 2019-2020 academic year
- Will register as a full-time student for the Fall 2019 semester and in good academic standing
- Minimum GPA of 3.3 for all colleges/universities attended
- Demonstrates leadership qualities
- U.S. Citizen
Applicants must submit all of the following materials:
- Transcript(s) (unofficial is fine) showing all college/university coursework
- Resume (please include expected graduation date)
- Short (250 word) Bio – include year of study, major, other activities relevant to scholarship and professional activities
- Short essay (1-2 pages) specifying career and academic goals
Recipients of the scholarships will be recognized in May 2019 at the College’s awards ceremony.
