In a complex homicide where do you start? What are you looking for? What is the process that allows you to understand what happened, how events unfolded in sequence and time, and why they occurred? Integration of physical, forensic, and behavioral evidence allows you to understand the story of the crime and how that reflects in who is likely responsible and equally important, who is not.
