Summer 2024 Research & Analysis Intern | Maryland Judiciary

Essential Functions:  
The Maryland Judiciary is now hiring for an intern in Research and Analysis.  Positions will generally last 90 days. Duties vary but may include the following: analyze datasets and identify trends and anomalies, perform data quality tests; run reports; communicate with courts about data quality and court operations practices and procedures; answering data quality questions; reviewing case files; researching Maryland law; data entry into Excel or other templates; and other related duties as assigned.

Education:
High school graduate with applicable documentation authorizing to work in the State of Maryland, e.g., Work Permit. Some college preferred.

Experience:
Applicants need not have job-related experience, but previous experience in general office environment is preferred. Current student pursuing BA/BS degree with coursework including research methods or statistics or equivalent.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficiency with MS Excel, strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, good written and oral communication skills. Ability to process, verify, proofread and file miscellaneous reports and documents. Ability to operate office equipment such as a computer, printer, and photocopier.
