Seminar: The Pre-K to Prison Pipeline: Changing the Odds for Boys of Color

Educational and incarceration trends among boys of color remain a concern within public and academic dialogues. This symposium brings leading scholars to campus to discuss the determinants and consequences of the “Pre-K to Prison Pipeline,” as well as action within the academic and public spheres that can bring an end to the cycle. The panel discussion will be moderated by Dr. Ruth Zambrana, and feature four distinguished guests, Dr. Howard Stevenson, Dr. Becky Pettit, Dr. Oscar Barbarin and Dr. Pedro Noguera. The event will culminate with a reception and book signing at the David C. Driskell Center.
