Become A Mentor: America Reads, America Counts

Did you know that 40% of low-income students in Maryland are behind grade level in reading by the 4th grade?  Each semester, approximately 250 UMD students serve with America Reads*America Counts. Our Mentors come from many different majors, all years of study, and very diverse backgrounds.  Make a difference in a student's life!

Volunteer and Federal Work Study ($10/hr for those who are eligible) positions available. Check out our programs on the attached info sheet!

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until September 2, 2015 at 5pm. We will be holding interviews the first week of class.
