Interested in white collar crime? Come here the story of the largest insider trading case in U.S. history!

Date: Friday, November 17, 2017
Time: 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Location: ESJ 2204.

From the 23rd floor of Federal Plaza, FBI and SEC investigators surveyed the New York skyline, home to the world’s financial industry. They had received disturbing intelligence: a surge in profits at hedge funds might be the result of an epidemic of insider trading (links to news article).   Before the investigation was completed, billionaire hedge fund manager Raj Rajaratnam, a board member of Goldman Sachs, and 70 other executives were convicted of federal crimes.  The convictions were possible because the guest speaker, Roomy Khan, wore a wire.  But then she double-crossed the government.  Now out of federal prison, this is her story.

This event is RSVP only, first come first served.  There are limited seats so RSVP as soon as possible.  To RSVP click here.
