UMB Paid Research Opportunity for Fall 2018/Spring 2019


The University of Maryland, Baltimore is looking for an undergraduate research assistant for the Fall/Spring semester. This position is a paid research opportunity, assisting with an on-going clinical trial research program at the University of Maryland Methadone Treatment Program Center, in Baltimore. 

The RA's will be responsible for assisting the Principle Investigator and the Research Coordinator with the required duties for all aspects of back-end data organization and regulatory (IRB) affairs. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Helping maintain a database
  • Creating data collection instruments in RedCAP
  • Ensuring compliance in accordance with UMB IRB standards
  • Assessing IRB protocol modifications. 
Additionally, this person will assist in data collection by directly interacting with patients enrolled in the study. The candidate’s assistance may also be solicited for other new research programs in the clinic. 

It is anticipated that this person will be called on an as-needed basis for a minimum of 12-15 hours of duty per week.
