Special Guest Lecture – THE JOHN SMITH SERIAL MURDER CASE
Presented by: FBI Special Agent Robert “Bob” Hilland

Special Agent Hilland’s presentation concerns the nearly 40 year investigation of serial killer John Smith.  Smith eluded law enforcement for 26 years before his arrest in 2000. The presentation will discuss the FBI's efforts in pursuing and ultimately apprehending Smith.  The case has been featured on 20/20, Cold Case Files, The New Detectives, Forensic Files and On the Case with Paula Zahn. Special Agent Hilland will present this case in a way that makes the audience feel as if they are part of the investigation.  CCJS 320 instructor, Tom Mauriello, invites any CCJS major, faculty or staff member, who might be interested to attend this special lecture.
