Undergrad Research Opportunities with African American Families

Are you interested in the experiences of African American youth? Do you have a passion to impact the lives of African American families and communities?  The Black Families Research group conducts research that examines parenting practices, parent-child dynamics, youth identity development, school climate and so much more!

Undergraduates who are interested in gaining research experience with this population are encouraged to contact bfrg.umd@gmail.com and request a research assistant application.

Whether you are interested in volunteering for the experience or interested in getting course credit, all majors are encouraged to apply!

*Expected commitment ranges from 5-10 hours a week for Spring Semester, with potential for an extension.
