Camp PALS Volunteers - accepting applications for Summer 2019

PALS Programs, a nonprofit organization that provides one week long summer camp opportunities for teens and young adults with Down syndrome and their peers at 14 college campuses across the country, is currently accepting volunteer applications for Summer 2019 programs.

PALS Programs offers immersive one-week long summer camps for teens and young adults with Down syndrome and their peers. Volunteer counselors are paired one-to-one with a roommate who has Down syndrome for a week of incredible activities and trips. Trips have included a day at the beach, yacht cruises, amusement parks, and more!

PALS provides an opportunity to gain experience with diverse populations, develop genuine friendships, and build leadership skills. This is an invaluable experience to become familiar with the disability community for those interested in law, service, and public policy. Gain real world experience to help change the world from a social justice lens! Check out this video to see why volunteers call PALS the best week of the year!

Openings for male volunteers age 16-30 are available at several programs this summer! Application can be submitted here, and questions can be directed to rosemary@palsprograms.org. There is no cost for volunteers at PALS.
