202 Orientation Staff Application Open

Image result for umd orientationThe 2020 Orientation Staff Application is officially LIVE! We hope you will envision yourself on the 2020 Orientation Staff and apply today! There are two different types of positions that you can choose to apply for: Orientation Advisor (OA) or Program Registrar (PR). Your OA's were the ones that you spent your orientation day with and you probably spoke with a PR if you called to sign up or ask questions about orientation!

If you are interested, we will be hosting information sessions on the following days:

  • Oct 7 @ 11:30 am - Info Session (1102 Cole Student Activities Building)
  • Oct 8 @ 7:30 pm- Info Session (1102 Cole Activities Building)
  • Oct 9 @ 5:00 pm - Info Session (1224 Edward St. John Building )
  • Oct 16 @ 4:30 pm - Info Session (1102 Cole Student Activities Building)
  • Oct 21 @ 6:00 pm - Info Session  (1224 Edward St. John Building)
Applications are open now at ter.ps/oriapply, and are due by October 23rd at 11:59 PM.

2019 Fall Career & Internship Fair

The 2019 Fall Career & Internship Fair kicks off the fall recruiting season and offers the opportunity to interact with hundreds of diverse employers interested in students and alumni, seeking full-time and internship positions in various industries.

The Fall Career & Internship Fair will take place over the course of three consecutive days:

  • Tuesday, September 17, 2019, 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM
  • Wednesday, September 18, 2019, 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM  
  • Thursday, September 19, 2019, 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Join Alpha Phi Sigma: First Meeting on Sept 25

Image result for alpha phi sigmaThe first meeting of Alpha Phi Sigma (APS) will be held on Wednesday, September 25 from 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM in LeFrak Hall, room 1222.  Current and interested members should try to attend.  

A new Board of Officers (President, Vice President, and Secretary) will be elected and activities will be planned.  In order to run for an officer position, students must be a current member of APS.  Students joining APS in Fall 2019 will not be eligible to run for office. Students interested in running for office should prepare a very brief presentation about themselves.  If you cannot attend but would like to run for an office, please email Nicole Jackson (jacksonn@umd.edu) a short blurb about yourself that will be read to the group.

Alpha Phi Sigma:
Alpha Phi Sigma is the National Criminal Justice Honor Society founded in 1942. Alpha Phi Sigma recognizes academic excellence of Undergraduate and Graduate students of Criminal Justice, as well as Juris Doctorate students.  The goals of Alpha Phi Sigma are to honor and promote academic excellence, community service, educational leadership and unity (http://www.alphaphisigma.org/).  The CCJS staff advisor for Alpha Phi Sigma is Nicole Jackson.
