START Fall 2023 Career Fair

The National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism—better known as START—is a university-based research and education center comprised of an international network of scholars committed to the scientific study of the causes and human consequences of terrorism in the United States and around the world. A Department of Homeland Security Emeritus Center of Excellence headquartered at the University of Maryland (part of the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences), START supports the research efforts of leading social scientists at more than 50 academic and research institutions, each of whom is conducting original investigations into fundamental questions about terrorism.

On Wednesday, October 25, 2023, 11-2pm START will be hosting its first Career Fair at our office in Riverdale, MD (we will share our exact office address with those who RSVP at least one week prior to the event). The idea for the career fair is similar, but on a smaller scale, to the Internship & Job Fairs that academic institutions put together each semester. We'll be hosting between 5-10 employers at booths set up in our large conference room, where they'll have a chance to meet with interested students. Employers that have already confirmed attendance include:

1. National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC)
2. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)
3. U.S. Secret Service
4. Government Accountability Office (GAO)
5. Anti-Defamation League (ADL)
6. Global Peace Foundation International

Please RSVP here (or copy and paste the link below) no later than Wednesday, October 11.
