Joining the Secret Service, Office of Strategic Intelligence and Information, Protective Intelligence and Assessment Division will allow you to gain experience in applying investigative research, analysis and assessment in relation to support the U.S. Secret Service leadership and intelligence mission of the Secret Service.
Duties
The selectee will serve as a Student Trainee (Intelligence Research) in the Protective Intelligence and Assessment Division. Typical work assignments include:
- Assists in performing tasks, assignments, and research that enhances the incumbent's understanding of protective intelligence, analysis, and assessment.
- Assisting in recurring developmental tasks such as analysis, abstracting, and disseminating rudimentary data from various information sources pertaining to subjects or groups who may pose a threat to the Service's protectors or protected facilities.
- Assisting in preparing various protective intelligence reports based on analysis and evaluation of current protective intelligence relevant information received from multiple sources.
- Assisting in analyzing intelligence reporting to determine the completeness and accuracy of information's relevance to other reporting and examines information to identify gaps and inconsistencies.
