The Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program serves first-generation, low-income, and underrepresented students who aspire to pursue graduate studies immediately after completing their undergraduate degrees, with a focus on obtaining a Ph.D. Our program is designed to prepare these high-achieving students for success in doctoral studies through mentoring, research opportunities, academic support, and other critical resources.

The purpose of the Open House is to give students a fuller picture of the McNair experience, including the various services we offer, such as:
- Research opportunities under the guidance of faculty mentors
- Guidance with securing summer research placements and internships
- Academic and career counseling specifically tailored to preparing students for graduate studies
- Support with the graduate school application process, including writing workshops, financial literacy seminars, and GRE and application fee waivers
- Assistance with funding for conference travel and presenting research
