IDEA258U: Introduction to UI/UX Design — In this one-credit in-person course, students will explore the true meaning of User Experience (UX) as “a user's experience,” focusing on core principles and methodologies from both academic and practical perspectives. They'll apply their learning through workshops and assignments, thinking beyond technology to find innovative design solutions.
IDEA311: Design Your Purpose — This one-credit asynchronous course helps students explore personal and professional development goals using design methods, guiding them to imagine and test potential career paths to find the best fit for their future.
IDEA459/659: The Innovation Studio — In this 3-credit in-person course, students will use human-centered design to create innovative performance and curricular experiments for the National Orchestral Institute + Festival, connecting the work to their own interests in the visual and performing arts. No prior experience in classical music or design is required.
