Scholarship For Transfer Students

SECU recently announced our partnership with the University System of Maryland Foundation (USMF) to establish a scholarship program for Maryland community college graduates transferring to four year Maryland universities. USMF will manage and administer SECU’s $50,000 gift as ten individual $5,000 scholarships to students transitioning from one of the state’s two-year community colleges to any of USM’s 12 institutions and two regional higher educational centers for the fall 2013 semester.

Apply today
•   Applicants must be Maryland community college students applying for admission to one of the
University System of Maryland’s undergraduate-degree granting institutions, and who have earned,
or anticipate earning, an associate’s degree prior to transferring to the USM institution.
•   Scholarship awards will be based on academic merit (at least a B average) and demonstrated
    financial need.
•   Applicants must also be a SECU member. Not a member? You can be! Membership
in SECU is open to all students attending a Maryland community college.
•   Applications are due by May 1, 2013.
