Job Opening: Field Investigator for Litigation Solutions LLC

Requirements: Ideal candidate will have a degree in Criminology, Criminal Justice or related field, and/or one (1) year of insurance fraud experience, and/or law enforcement or military experience. Hourly wages, mileage, plus expenses, with a complete benefit package offered. Entry level candidates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities: Conduct investigations related to insurance fraud, to include surveillance, activity checks, background checks, locates, and written/recorded statements.

Candidates interested in this position must demonstrate proficiency in the following job duties to be considered:

  • Obtaining quality surveillance video evidence Securing written/recorded statements 
  • Accident scene investigations 
  • Writing accurate and detailed reports 
  • Strong grammatical skills Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, internet, etc)
  • Flexible work schedule to include working long hours, weekend hours and some holiday hours 
  • Strong initiative and work ethic 
  • Possession of a valid driver`s license 
  • Ability to work independently 
  • Deposition and courtroom testimony as requested 
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing 
  • Ability to work closely with supervisory personnel as well as senior investigators within the department 
  • Completion of accurate daily time and mileage reporting as well as monthly expense reporting

Steve Mazefsky is the Senior Vice President and has more than 21 years of experience in business development and management within the insurance and self-insured communities. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1988 with a BA in International Studies. Mr. Mazefsky is responsible for Business Development, Account Management, and the overall Operations for LSLLC. He held senior level positions in both a national and regional Medical Cost Containment business prior to founding LSLLC in 1999.

Christie Grisetti graduated from Mercyhurst College (Erie, PA) with honors having earned a degree in Political Science and Business and has more than 12 years experience in the litigation support arena. Prior to joining Litigation Solutions in 2000, Ms. Grisetti worked as a paralegal for a family owned law firm in downtown Pittsburgh. That experience propelled Ms. Grisetti forward into litigation support on the vendor side. Ms. Grisetti is the Vice President of Operations for the Litigation Support Department.

John Tomasic is the Vice President of Operations for the Investigative Department. Mr. Tomasic studied Criminal Justice at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and graduated in 1993 with a B.A. in Criminology. He has 18 years of experience in Private Investigations with over 20,000 hours of field experience coupled with 10 years of management experience. Mr. Tomasic began his career as a Field Investigator in 1993 at a small P.I. Firm in Pittsburgh and joined LSLLC in the summer of 2000. He began his career at LSLLC as a field investigator and was promoted to Manager, Regional Manager, and Director of Investigations prior to his current position. From an operations stand point Mr. Tomasic's background gives LSLLC the advantage of knowing operations from the ground up and he diligently utilizes his knowledge on a daily basis to ensure the company's clients receive a top notch product.

This unique combination of talents, together with a dedicated staff, has allowed LSLLC to grow from its humble beginnings of two people in our own Pittsburgh office to a company that now employs more than 250 full-time employees. LSLLC continues to expand its operational and technical presence nationally through internal expansion and strategic partnerships.
