The New Jersey Judiciary is searching for an individual to join a case processing team in the Appellate Division. The selected candidate must possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, and case management skills to perform the duties required. This position will be responsible for the management of a caseload consisting of criminal and less complicated appeals in accordance with court rules and established practices. The selected candidate will regularly interact with judges, prosecutors, public defenders, litigants, the private bar, and the public. This position will be responsible for processing both accelerated and regular appeals, preparing memos to the Court, reviewing briefs and appendices, processing motions and motion orders. The selected candidate will be required to monitor a high-volume caseload, schedule the filing of briefs, process orders and monitor appeals for timely filings and dismissals. In addition, the selected candidate will be required to navigate through the electronic filing system by reviewing documents in both eCourts Appellate and the Appellate case management system (ACME). Perform other related duties as required.
REMOTE WORK: The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.

Substitution: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits. An associate's degree and two years of additional paraprofessional or professional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree

Authorization to Work: US citizenship is not required. Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations.
