The Baltimore City Police Department (BPD) is looking hire a Grant Service Specialist/ HR Generalist II to assist with the fully cycle recruitment of our professional staff.
Primary responsibilities include:
Assisting with various administrative duties, such as researching and carrying out project tasks;
Coordinating and scheduling candidate phone/teams and in-person interviews with hiring managers and interviewing panels;
Coordinate internal job postings, promote internal hiring, and maintain the employee referral program;
Create, edit, and proof job descriptions to maintain the database ;
Maintain the Talent Acquisition database, including new job code creation, job requisitions creation, candidate information entry, and troubleshooting;
Stay updated on industry trends;
Make data-driven recommendations for improvement ;
Create offer paperwork and ensure timely receipt of signed documents ;
Post new hires and job requisitions via Workday ;
Assists in providing firsthand support and organizing the day-to-day operations of the recruiting and onboarding process;
The position involves a high degree of professionalism, organization, and customer service
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
AND
EXPERIENCE: Have three years of experience in human resources in one of the following fields: employee selection, position classification and compensation or employee benefits.
OR
NOTES (EQUIVALENCIES): Graduate course work in psychology, personnel administration, business administration, public administration, public policy or statistics from an accredited college or university may be substituted for the experience requirement on a year for year basis. Additional experience in employee selection, position classification and compensation, employee benefits, training/organizational development or human resource administration may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis.
