White Collar Defense & Investigation Paralegal

The Washington, DC office of Cozen O’Connor is seeking an entry-level Paralegal for the White Collar Defense & Investigation department to begin in May or June 2024. The ideal candidate has a strong academic record, is detail-oriented and pro-active. Candidate will possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills and is comfortable prioritizing and balancing a variety of tasks assigned. Superior communication skills and working knowledge of MS Office and database applications a plus. The ideal candidate enjoys the challenge of working in a fast-paced and dynamic practice. A four-year bachelor's degree required.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Document management including but not limited to review of documents, bates labeling, organization of documents and compiling information for discovery responses/pleadings/motions, assisting in coordinating scene examinations, witness investigation, and trial preparation
- Develop systems to track information and assist with document acquisition, organization, review and analysis
- Compile information from various sources, analyze and clearly report detailed findings using charts, statistics and other tools
- Review documents for content
- Utilize computer databases to organize, store and access information; conduct basic research on LEXIS, Westlaw and other online computer assisted research databases
- Large case management, including electronic file management
