Internship Opportunity - PGCPD Special Operations Division


Prince George’s County Police Department Special Operations Division

INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY FOR COMPUTER PROGRAMMERS
Spring / Summer Semester 2012

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Special Operations Division is accepting applications for police interns who excel at computer programming. Interns will work closely with a team of hostage negotiators and will design an interactive web based intelligence system which will be used on hostage barricade scenes. This program will be built from the ground up by a team of interns under police supervision. Interns will receive credit after successful completion of this internship.
 GRADUATE STUDENTS, JUNIORS, AND SENIORS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY

Requirements

o   Interns will need their own transportation to an office located at 7600 Barlowe Road Landover, MD 20785
o   Interns must have advance computer programming skills
o   Interns must be able to work as part of a team
o   Interns must be juniors, seniors, or graduate students with at least a 2.5 GPA
o   Interns will be required to pass a national criminal records check
o   Interns must submit a one page resume and unofficial transcript
o   Interns must submit a letter of recommendation from one university professor (not required by time of interview)
