Students can now apply to be a 2014-15 Alternative Breaks
Experience Leader!
Sponsored by the Adele H. Stamp Student Union-Center for
Campus Life, Alternative Breaks (AB) coordinates substance-free, community
service-learning experiences culminating with a trip during the university's
winter, spring, and summer breaks. AB participants travel locally, nationally,
and internationally in teams to engage in active service and gain new
perspectives on social issues while meeting community needs and learning about
and building upon community assets.
Experience Leaders serve as the primary planners and
coordinators for each of the 27 Alternative Break experiences taking place next
year. The AB Experience Leaders form a tight-knit community and team full of
support, learning, fun and leadership development.
Applications are due Tuesday, April 8th by midnight!
