Time:  4:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.
Location: University Career Center & The President’s Promise (3rd Floor Hornbake Library, South Wing

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is responsible for criminal enforcement and industry operations throughout the United States. Our dedicated work force is comprised of special agents, industry operations investigators, intelligence research specialists, forensic auditors, technical operations officers and support staff.  ATF is a unique law enforcement agency that protects our communities from violent criminals; criminal organizations; the illegal use and trafficking of firearms and explosives; acts of arson and bombings; and the illegal diversion of alcohol and tobacco products.  ATF is on the frontline in the reduction of violent crime. We have unique statutory authority over the “tools of the trade” that make violent offenders and gangs a threat to public safety.  This authority places ATF at the center of criminal investigations.  Every day, special agents across the country combat firearms violence by focusing their investigative efforts on armed violent offenders, armed career criminals, illegal gun traffickers, and violent criminal gangs.  ATF works with other Federal, State, and local law enforcement agencies throughout the country to accomplish this vital mission.
ATF Special Agents will share their great experiences along with the following information.
  • Overview of ATF and information about the agency
  • Details regarding the Special Agent’s job duties
  • Information about hiring and application process
  • Discuss potential internship opportunities
