Career Shuttle to the Smithsonian National Zoo on April 8

Join us on a career shuttle to the Smithsonian National Zoo on April 8! On Friday, please meet in the University Career Center & The President's Promise (3100 Hornbake Library, South Wing) promptly at 8:45 am. We will travel by bus to the Zoo. Our visit will last from approximately 10 am to 1 pm. We will break for lunch in the middle and, assuming good weather, will eat outside. We recommend you bring a lunch. Otherwise, there should be an opportunity to purchase lunch. Please wear comfortable (casual) clothes and shoes as we will be walking throughout the property and may spend an extended amount of time outside (weather permitting). Looking ahead, the weather doesn't look great for Friday, so please bring a jacket, umbrella, etc. if needed.

During our trip, we will hear from UMD alumni who work at the Zoo and learn more about internship, career and volunteer opportunities with the organization. You are encouraged to read more about employment and internships with Smithsonian's National Zoo on their website (www.nationalzoo.si.edu ).

If you find you cannot attend this event, please contact Kate Juhl at kjuhl@umd.edu so that someone from the waiting list may take your spot. If you fail to attend this event, we will charge your student account $25 to recover some of our lost costs.
