Dear Terp,
The University of Maryland
needs your help and your voice.
Last year, tuition came
dangerously close to being raised by more than 10%, due to massive cuts to our
funding from the state. But thanks in part to the efforts of students rallying
on this campus and effectively lobbing legislators, our funding was restored
and our tuition spared.
This year, the University System of Maryland faces $20 million dollars in cuts. Without this investment, we will not be able to move forward with the programs that are essential for a quality education for students now and into the future.
