Who We Are:
For more than two decades, FVTC’s National Criminal Justice Training Center has provided ongoing support to federal, state, tribal, local, and private industry clients to improve the adult and juvenile justice systems ability to effectively respond to crimes against children and adult related criminal justice issues. With an office located in Washington, DC, FVTC works closely with several Department of Justice (DOJ) offices, including the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) and the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA). Some of the projects we currently work on are the Missing and Exploited Children’s program (MECP) and the Office of Justice Programs (OJP) Diagnostic Center (training and technical assistance (TTA) support to criminal justice agencies and organizations in data-driven crime solutions).

Internship Program Parameters:
We are interested in securing one or more interns to assist with the following:

1. Research, development of written materials, as well as planning and managing tasks and activities associated with the delivery of TTA services and support to the criminal justice field.
2. Development and enhancement of a newly designed training and technical assistance web site and internal statistical reporting tools. A technology background and/or experience with the technical aspects of web development and maintenance are preferred but not required.
3. Data entry and database coordination.
4. Development and coordination of marketing initiatives.

Qualifications: 
A background in criminal justice or a social science is preferred but not required. Students must have a cumulative GPA of a 3.0 or higher.

Interns will be compensated for their time. The internships can begin immediately or can start in the spring semester for a minimum of 20 hours per week. Interns will be needed for the 2013/2014 semesters.
