The
Police Department Leadership Development Program (LDP) is a 12-month program
designed to develop our future CSX Special Agents. The program includes
extensive field and classroom-based training on topics that include the CSXT
network, operations and core values.
The
CSX Police Department is responsible for ensuring the protection and safety of
all employees, customers, public and pedestrians on CSX Transportation (CSXT)
property. They protect shipments entrusted to CSXT against theft and vandalism,
investigate crimes on or against the railroad, participate in public safety
activities (including Operations Lifesaver), support the general mission of the
police department, prevent crime, and protect the interests of CSX.
Upon
successful completion of the 12-month program, Police Department LDP associates
will be placed in a Special Agent role at one of any of our geographic
locations across the CSX network.
