Who We Are:
Govern For America is building the next generation of public servants to create a more responsive government that better reflects and serves our communities. The GFA Fellowship is a two-year program that connects recent graduates from diverse backgrounds to full-time, paid government jobs and supports them to build skills to lead in government. GFA bridges the gap between state governments and emerging leaders to fill skill gaps, improve government operations, drive more equitable policy outcomes, and ignite a lifetime of public sector leadership.
At GFA, We:
- Recruit recent graduates from diverse backgrounds into high-impact roles in government agencies through our recruitment and selection process
- Train Fellows in effective, equitable, and innovative approaches to government service
- Develop Fellows’ leadership potential with sustained professional support using our Public Sector Leadership framework and Leadership Competencies
- Sustain a community of GFA alumni and government leaders who provide ongoing mentorship to amplify Fellow impact
What We Look For:
Govern For America is looking for emerging leaders from diverse backgrounds who are passionate about making government systems serve our communities more equitably and effectively. We recruit our Fellows from over 150 colleges, universities, and organizations committed to increasing the diversity of ideas and people in high-impact spaces.
