As an intern at the Urban Institute, you’ll work alongside experts across the organization and beyond in the nation’s epicenter of public policy - Washington, DC. Your work will have an impact on real-life, real-time policy issues and discussions.   

How you’ll contribute:
Your internship will involve contributing to a case study of police apprenticeships, especially among young workers.  In addition, you will serve as an analyst and assistant for other tasks that the Urban Institute apprenticeship may require.

Responsibilities: 

  • Conceptualizing the case study of police apprenticeships
  • Conducting research on police apprenticeships and other models of police training
  • Writing in-depth sections on the experiences of police apprentices
  • Interview

What you’ll bring: 
The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience in a police apprenticeship
  • Have training in economic analysis
  • Prefer individual with a BA degree
