About the Justice Initiatives Portfolio
The Justice Initiatives (JI) Portfolio is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data for CPE’s law enforcement and community partners. The overall goal of JI is to support partners in identifying bias, the sources of bias, and viable remedies for resolution.
Position Description
CPE is seeking a dynamic, part-time (up to 15 hours/week) intern with a passion for social justice issues to join our team! The Justice Initiatives intern will work closely with JI leadership to support the function’s growth and processes. CPE's internship is designed to develop and cultivate interpersonal & professional skills.
Location: Remote, within the United States
Program Dates: January 23 - May 26, 2023
Compensation: $15/hour
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and logistical support
- Drafting and reviewing internal and/or external correspondence
- Providing support with organizational opportunity assessment
- Providing documentation and administrative support through our project management tool, Asana
- Researching areas of opportunity and topics relevant to the organization’s mission
Qualifications
- Superior attention to detail
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in G Suite, specifically Gmail, Google Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms
- Passionate about social justice issues
- Preference for rising junior or senior
