C4J Research Intern (Remote)
About the Compstat for Justice (C4J) Team
Provides a technical suite of consulting services to LEAs and other actors within a given city/county/state to help those organizations realize CPE recommendations and take related actions.
Position Description
CPE is seeking dynamic, part-time (up to 15 hours/week) interns with a passion for social justice issues to join the C4J team! The C4J intern will work closely with the team on the research and administration of C4J projects. CPE's internship is designed to develop and cultivate interpersonal & professional skills.
Location: Remote, within the United States
Program Dates: January 23 - May 26, 2023
Compensation: $15/hour

Qualifications
- Superior attention to detail
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
- Excellent writing skills
- Knowledge of how to produce a literature review and annotated bibliography
- Basic understanding of research methods and criminal justice system & policy
- An understanding of how policies are formed and evaluated is a plus
- Knowledge of how community-focused research works is a plus
- Preference for rising junior or senior
